The NEXTGEN SDGs MOVEMENT is an arm of the parent organization, INITIATIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEXT GENERATION (NEXTGEN), which is carved out for the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals that were established by world leaders at the United Nations’ General Assembly (UNGA) in September, 2015. The SDGs succeeded the prior Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
NEXTGEN Sustainable Development Goals Movement (NSM), focuses on engaging youth in the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals and propagating the goals in schools and communities.

We engage volunteer members on personal, professional and community actions toward the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals and also run Sustainable Development Goals Clubs in schools, which are facilitated by our passionate and committed volunteer members. Creating innovative ways of teaching SDGs, radical transformation in the lives of younger generation, enhancing their learning and developmental capacity, motivating and impact their mind-set positively to champion the sustainable development in the society are at the core of our activities which include Seminar events, conferences, picnics, Skills acquisition, social intervention (undertaking tree planting (Go Green), waste management, WASH etc.) Advocacy/Public enlightenment campaigns, School Outreaches, Fellowship Meetings, Talent Development and the Schools Club Project.
