Rana Saddam Hussein is the second daughter of President Saddam Hussein by his wife Sajida Khairallah, her older sister Raghad, and her younger sister Hala.
In 1986, Rana Saddam Hussein married Saddam Kamel Al-Majid, brother of Hussein Kamel Al-Majid, husband of her older sister Raghad. In 1995 she fled with her husband to Jordan, where they lived until February 20, 1996. Rana and her husband returned to Iraq after receiving assurances from Saddam Hussein that she would pardon her husband and brother Hussein Kamel Al-Majid. However, he was killed after returning to Iraq. Rana and Saddam Kamel have four children: Ahmed, Saad, and Hussein, and their sister is Nabaa.
Rana Saddam Hussein moved with her sister Raghad Saddam Hussein and their nine children to reside in Jordan in the palace of the former Jordanian King Hussein bin Talal, father of King Abdullah II, since their political asylum on July 31, 2003, during the fall of Iraq to the Americans.
