Introducing the author
The author of the download parameters is Abu Muhammad, al-Husayn ibn Masoud ibn Muhammad, known as al-Fara al-Baghawi, al-Faqih al-Shafi’i, al-Muhaddith, an interpreter. He died (510 A.H.)

Al-Baghawi then presents the method he chose and put his interpretation on it, which is mediation and moderation, and he says: (So I collected with God’s help and good success in what they asked for a medium book between the long, boring and the short, disturbing, I hope it will be useful for those who seek to acquire it).

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

Al-Baghawi’s interpretation is shorter than that of al-Tha’alibi, but he preserved his interpretation from fabricated hadiths and innovated opinions. He was asked about which interpretation is closer to the Book and the Sunnah? Al-Zamakhshari or Al-Qurtubi or Al-Baghawi? Or others? He replied: “As for the three interpretations for which he is responsible, he freed them from heresy and weak hadiths - Al-Baghawi.” Fatwas 13/386
