The Tenerife Island Solidarity Program (PTIS) was born in 1997 as a program for the Promotion of Volunteering and Solidarity; as well as the Promotion and Strengthening of the Associative Fabric on the Island of Tenerife, whose ownership corresponds to the Hon. Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, through the Area of ​​Social Action, Citizen Participation and Diversity, being entrusted to the public company Insular Society for the Promotion of People with Disabilities (SINPROMI, SL) for reasons of efficiency administers for its execution and better development .

This Program is proposed with the Mission of "Promote, Empower and Raise Awareness about Island Volunteering and the Associative Fabric on the Island of Tenerife"; and the Vision of "Being an island benchmark for society in general, and Volunteering Entities in particular", which works directly with all volunteer organizations on the island of Tenerife, from all spheres of action: educational, sports, cultural, community, international, social, health, environmental, leisure and free time, emergency and civil protection.
