TinyCorp has developed Rise in order to help our users wake up in the morning.
Rise is an alarm clock which, unlike typical alarm clocks, enables our users to configure their alarms to punish them in the eventuality that they fail to wake up in the morning.

A list of Punishments have been provided, where each one leads to a different consequence. There are several ways to verify if the user has woken up: Screen Verification, Email Verification and SMS Verification. An example punishment is Twitter, where a customizable tweet will be posted if the user fails to wake up.

Our app is also integrated with Spotify so the user can choose to set their ringtone as a default ringtone provided by Android or a custom playlist belonging to the user.

Rise does not work using a remote server. It instead runs in-memory on the user’s device such that no sensitive user data is saved. All interactions with 3rd party applications are done using the provider’s authentication and authorization APIs.

Rise has been fully developed and tested by our TinyCorp team. Rise is a proof of concept and remains a work in progress as we maintain its minimalist user interface and aim to deliver a rich feature set to our users as we focus on seamless user experience.
