(Haki Sawa) (Equal Rights) - HAKISA is a mobile app project that utilizes existing data about human rights and gender based violence especially the effects of female genital mutilation (FGM) and summarizes the collected data into 1-3 minutes video contents such as theatrical skits, short films and 3D Animations in order to easily reach out, get engaged and educate the fast growing online communities in Tanzania.

These illustrations and creativity will help to influence local policy makers to create policies that effectively combat the activities and bring positive changes in the communities.

Furthermore, we hope to utilize media influencers to help promote the use of the HAKISA app in order to expand the user base and data dissemination.
