The Turkish Civil Code is the law numbered 4721, which was adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on November 22, 2001 and entered into force on January 1, 2002. He abolished the Turkish Civil Code dated February 17, 1926 and numbered 743. It is the main law containing the rules regarding the field of civil law in Turkey. Except for the initial provisions; It consists of five books including personal law, family law, inheritance law, property law and law of obligations[2] and a total of 1030 articles.
