Mr. Souleymane FAYE is a researcher and full professor of linguistics at the Center for Applied Linguistics of Dakar – CLAD – of Cheikh Anta Diop University. He is a specialist in the Dravidian languages of India (Tamil or Tamil in particular), Wolof and Serer of Senegal.
Professor of phonetics and English linguistics at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, he has also taught conversational Wolof and Serer to foreign learners for more than twenty years. He is the author of several scientific and popular works in all these languages, including didactic grammars, reading manuals and common dictionaries. Since 2006, he has been a contributing author to the dictionary Le Petit Larousse and the Encyclopédie Larousse.fr, for the integration of French from French-speaking Africa commonly called “Africanism”. He speaks French, English, Spanish, Tamil, Wolof and Serer.
