Data communication is a process of encoding and decoding information, or records. It is the transmission of information by means of communication channels and media.
Ethernet, which is widely used in computer networks, is a family of computer networking technologies for LANs (local area networks), WANs (wide area networks), and the Internet. It was commercially introduced in 1980, and since then has been continually refined.
The IEEE 802.3 working group is responsible for Ethernet standards. The Ethernet standards comprise a number of different media-access control variants of the CSMA/CD (carrier sense multiple access with collision detection) protocol.
The development of Data Communication and Networking has been a long history. It is closely related to the development from Analog Communication to Digital Communication.
