IMPULSA is the well-being research and promotion app developed by the Psychology and Technology Research Laboratory (I-PSI-TEC) at the University of Valencia. IMPULSA was developed to assess and better understand the role of two core components of well-being: positive affect and living based on values and strengths.
The app was developed within the IMPULSA project: Boosting Mental Health and Well-being through Digital Interventions, funded by the Prometeo Program Grants for Excellence Groups from the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana [CIPROM/2021/041].
IMPULSA currently contains short exercises that adapt well-being promotion strategies, specifically, savoring positive emotions, taking actions consistent with personal values, and leveraging character strengths. IMPULSA also allows you to answer questions to conduct a momentary ecological assessment of well-being levels. The purpose of this version is to validate the user experience with the app. Therefore, it is not intended for therapeutic purposes and in no way replaces psychological treatment provided by a professional. Access to the app will be restricted to users who do not require this support.
