The Vow of Sivakami


Sivakami's Vow is a famous Tamil novel by Kalki. The story, which has been published in the Kalki weekly magazine for 12 years, was later published as a novel.

Narasimha Pallavan I is a prominent figure in this period, written using events from the reign of Mahendravarma Pallavan I.

The novel is a four-part series, called Paranjodi Pilgrimage, Kanji Siege, Pikshu's Love and Ruined Dream.


Story Summary:

The story of the birth includes the news of the war in Kanchi and the subsequent battle of the Pallavas against the Chalukya capital Wadhabi. It is impossible to point out who the leader of this story is. In the first part, the Pallava king appears as Mahendravarman I, but in the latter, his son Narasimha Pallavara dominates the Kathaya. In the story the history of the Pallava and Chalukya country is beautifully illustrated.

Sivagamiyin Sabatham is a Tamil novel written by Kalki, first serialized in Kalki during January 1944 - June 1946, and published in a book in 1948. Set in 7th-century south India against a backdrop of various historical events and figures, the novel created widespread interest in Tamil history.
