Noor Jehan (born Allah Rakhi Wasai) was a renowned and popular Pakistani singer and actress and whose career spanned quite six decades, during which she recorded above 10,000+ songs. Madam Noor Jahan in one among most iconic stars. Whose picture truly reflect the culture of Pakistan. She sang multiple songs in several languages including Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Sindhi, making her amid of the foremost influential singers of all time in the South Asia.
Noor Jahan start her singing career at the age of 5 showed an interest in a range of styles, including folk, tradition and popular theatre and received classical singer training under Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, which is one of famous Hindustani vocalist.
As a young girl, Noor Jehan start her profession on floor of Punjabi and Urdu movies i.e Pind di Kuri (1935), Missar Ka Sitara (1936), Heer-Sayyal (1937), Dopatta (1952), Intezar (1956) and Koel (1959). She made her debut in a film as a singer in 1951 film Chann Wey. After that she entirely start her career as a playback singer in 1960 and she realize that she is more keen on breaking into playback singing than the acting.
She composed more than 20000+ ghazals, folk songs and naats and most popular war songs which were broadcasted and recorded by Radio Pakistan during 1965 war.

She was honored with the title of Malika-e-Tarannum (the Queen of Melody) in Pakistan for her services to Pakistan especially during the war, and was popularly referred to as Madam by her adoring fans. She also has a title of ‘’ Queen of Heart’. Being surrounded by multitudes of individuals didn't faze her. She holds the record for having a voice of large number of film songs in Pakistani cinema’s history.
The original Prima of Pakistan, throughout her career was known for her theatrical and flamboyant personality. In 1957, she won the recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance for her services and contribution towards acting and singing.
