Process-based child observation (QSTTQT) is a technique in the process of assessing a child's development through observing the child's comfort and participation on a daily basis. Levels of “comfort” and “participation” are two basic indicators that teachers see through IMS, not just focusing on the child's end results.
International communication management helps teachers understand children's learning, playing, etc., thereby analyzing the effects on children's comfort and level of participation. On that basis, teachers adjust the educational plan (through the application of “action points”) to maximize impact effectiveness, address barriers, create changes in the real organization. Implement activities to help children play, learn better and maximize their potential.
Practicing international communication helps teachers improve knowledge and skills in recalling and analyzing to support the learning of 3-5 year olds.
Nowadays, teachers often record observations on paper and this makes it difficult to share the results and not easily accessible for analysis within the education system or by VVOB – an international organization. non-profit organization, education for development, the developer of the Child Observation Application.
The purpose of "Application of international quality control"
As the core of Process Child Observation, whole-class observations (2-3 times per school year) and quick activity-based observations are essential. Current teachers spend a lot of time recording observations and saving on paper forms. Paper records however do not support back-and-forth collaboration between teachers and/or school leaders. Paper-based data also has many disadvantages, including time consuming to move data from paper to the data center, analysis, storage capacity, lack of redundancy, etc.
The recording of observations of children using this "Application of IMS" is for the purposes of:
• Make it easier for teachers to take notes;
• Provide information for sharing and learning among teachers in a school;
• Help analyze children's learning in the classroom and throughout the school;
• Provide instructions for using the functions (pre-programmed) to help teachers use the application easily, conveniently and with full of information for reflection and sharing
The main users of the “QSTTQT App” are preschool teachers, when using this application will be able to easily:
• Create class groups with many common characteristics;
• Add child's profile (Last name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, grade, school, district, province, ...)
o Add new children at the beginning and throughout the school year
o Enter current child's profile (eg from previous school years)
• Record observations based on pre-existing observations
• Get overview reports which show:
o Individual child changes over time and automatically shows which children need more attention (over many school years)
o Changes of class groups over time
Provides suggested action points (pre-programmed) to apply depending on predefined classroom situations
Secondary users of the “International Management System Application” are school leaders and other stakeholders in the education system, including VVOB. “QSTTQT application” will allow:
• Get raw data that does not disclose the identity but includes information about the child's demographics, grades, and individual observations
• Get class- and school-wide reports
