Immerse yourself in the heart of Corte and follow in the footsteps of Pascal Paoli, a major figure in Corsican history. Thanks to unique immersive technology blending real-world exploration, augmented reality, and interactive mini-games, MEMENTO PAOLI transforms the city into a veritable investigation site. Your mission: to find the fragments of memory of the Father of the Corsican Nation and reconstruct his legacy.
Through an interactive map, you are guided from one historical site to another: Maison Arrighi, Place Gaffori, Sainte-Croix Chapel, Casa Palazzi, Fountain of the Four Cannons, Palazzu Naziunale, University of Corte, Citadel… Each location triggers a game sequence inspired by a real episode in Paoli's life. Match Masonic symbols in augmented reality, investigate the mint, rephrase a constitutional article, scan fragments of memory, or identify works of art in a church using visual puzzles.
The historical content was developed in collaboration with historian Antoine-Marie Graziani, ensuring a faithful, accessible, and enriching experience. You will discover the connections between Paoli, Arrighi, and the Bonapartes, the key stages of the 1755 Constitution, the workings of the Corsican printing press, the role of the brotherhoods, the university founded by Paoli, and the decisive battles that shaped the island's destiny.
MEMENTO PAOLI is not simply a guided tour: it's a dynamic journey where each success unlocks a fragment of memory, a historical vignette, and sometimes rare or unexpected portraits of Paoli. As you progress, Paoli's "Memory" is reconstructed. And if you manage to gather all the fragments… you might even be able to talk to him.
