Radio Hatteras is a 100% volunteer, non-profit, community radio service. We serve all of Hatteras Island from two broadcasting locations; WHDZ-FM (101.5) in Buxton and WHDX-FM (99.9) in Waves.

Our founding principle is to serve the community during emergencies.

While the reason that we’re here is to provide emergency information, most of the time we broadcast a wide variety of music and community service announcements.

We depend on our Hatteras Island neighbors and friends to keep community radio alive.
