PMV+ Thermostat Advisor is a thermal calculation tool for beginners and experts alike. Users provide conditions and and the app calculates the predicted mean vote and the percent of people dissatisfied for those conditions. The predicted mean vote gives a number on a scale where 0 is comfortable, -3 is cold, and 3 is hot. The percent of people dissatisfied gives the percentage of people that would be uncomfortable in the given conditions.

In a recent research paper it was shown that the current PMV equation is inaccurate for females because the equation was designed around the metabolic rate of an older male individual. PMV+ offers not only the original PMV equation calculation, but also an altered output based upon the metabolic rate of females.
