Herrera del Duque is a municipality and Spanish town of the province of Badajoz, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, located northeast of the province. It is included in the region of Siberia, is head of the homonymous, 2 judicial district and one of the three deaneries of the Archdiocese of Toledo in Extremadura.

Its municipality covers an area of ​​277.3 square kilometers, which confers on the twenty sixth largest community; with an average altitude of 468 msnm.3 In 2016 it had 3614 inhabitants, 4 which gives a population density of 13,27 hab / km², divided into two towns: the municipality and the hamlet of Peloche.
