MeshVault is a File Manager dedicated to the 3D printing workflow. Unlike standard galleries, MeshVault requires All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to locate, manage, and transfer non-media formats—specifically STL, OBJ, 3MF, and GCODE—stored anywhere on your device.
Core File Management Features:
Device Scanning: Automatically indexes internal storage for 3D models and GCODE instructions.
File Operations: Move, rename, and organize files into custom folders (e.g., "Projects," "To Print") to maintain a clean library.
Wi-Fi File Server: Grants PC access to these specific local files via a local web interface.
PC Transfer: Push model files wirelessly to the MeshVault Hub (Windows).
Additional Features:
3D Viewer: Preview STL/STEP/OBJ/GCODE and inspect ZIP/3MF packages.
Repository Browser: Download from Printables/MakerWorld with metadata capture.
MeshVault — 3D Printing File Manager, Viewer & PC Transfer for Slicing or organising
Your phone’s Downloads folder isn’t a library. It’s where 3D models go to disappear.
MeshVault is an Android app built for 3D printing workflow: browse popular 3D model sites, capture what you downloaded, preview models, organize them into folders, and send them to your PC for slicing.
Browse 3D model sites with a purpose
MeshVault includes a dedicated browser for major repositories like Printables, MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Cults3D, and Thangs. When you download a model, MeshVault can automatically capture useful info like the thumbnail, title, and author, turning random ZIP/Model names into a clean, visual library.
(Reality check: metadata capture depends on how each site structures pages, so results may vary by site and over time.)
Preview before you transfer
No more guessing what’s inside a ZIP. MeshVault lets you inspect files on your phone:
Native 3D preview: STL / 3MF / STEP / OBJ / GCODE / MODEL(in 3mf)
Peek inside ZIP / 3MF packages to see what you actually downloaded
Rotate, zoom, and check details before you send anything to your computer
The Vault: organize your collection either on your PC or phone properly
Create folders like “Functional Parts,” “Tabletop,” “To Print,” or “Projects.” Import existing files, keep related assets grouped, and use search so you can find that model again in 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes.
Send models to your PC
MeshVault is designed to bridge mobile discovery and desktop slicing:
MeshVault Hub (Windows companion app): push models wirelessly to your PC, mirror your folder structure, and optionally launch straight into your slicer
(Requires the Hub and being on the same local network.)
In-app Web Server: access your library from any browser on your network for quick downloads and management
