Main functions:
Barcode and QR code scanning:
The app enables quick and precise inventory capture by scanning barcodes and QR codes. On Zebra and Honeywell devices, those with the camera scanning function also support the use of the hardware 2D imagers built into the devices.
Batch management:
The app supports the capture of batches on correspondingly configured articles (setting in the article master data of the central ERP system). This makes it easier to track and manage inventory by production series, which is particularly crucial for traceability and quality control.
Recording of best-before dates (MHDs):
The application enables the recording of best-before dates for items that have been set accordingly in the central ERP system. This item is both batch and best before date.
Capturing serial numbers:
The application enables individual serial number capture, which is particularly important for companies that need to track products with unique identification numbers. Serial numbers can be entered manually or captured using a scanner to ensure complete traceability. In order to record serial numbers, the corresponding setting must first be made for the relevant items in the item master data in the central ERP system. In addition, the “Serial Numbers” option must be activated in the app settings (gear symbol at the top right). After scanning a serial number-controlled item, a switch to switch to the serial number capture mode is displayed next to the counting field. By activating this mode, all captured barcodes are added to the item as serial numbers. In order to capture further products, the serial number capture mode must be switched off again.
Multiple Hardware Device Support:
The app is compatible with specialized MDE devices from manufacturers such as Zebra, Honeywell and Sunmi. This integration optimizes the inventory process by supporting the hardware 2D imager built into the devices, further increasing the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management.
