Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency is the Nodal agency lead by Department of Information Technology, Government of Tamil Nadu for software applications for all Government departments in the State of Tamil Nadu, India.

This particular app is being developed for the Social Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu Government being developed by Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency and we have complete authority to use the name, logo, icon with respect to the Midday Meal Scheme.

This Mobile application is for managing and monitoring the Midday meal scheme for the Government school students. Students who enrolled in the schools can avail the scheme as per the FSA, 2013. Hence, the enrolment details ought to be incorporated and updated from time to time.

To ensure the timely management of cooking process till serving of foods real time monitoring through on application is absolutely necessary. All the processes are directly entered in to the Database and made available in the real time Dashboard.

Primary School children in the age group of 5-9 years and Upper Primary School children in the age group of 10-15 years are provided with hot cooked nutritious variety meals in the school for five days in a week for a total of 220 days in a year.

The children enrolled under National Child Labour Project Special Schools in Vellore district are also provided with hot cooked nutritious variety meals for 312 days in a year.

Food grains (rice) @ 100 gm per child per school day for primary school children (1st Std. to 5th Std.) and @ 150 gm for upper primary and high school (6th Std. to 10th Std.) is provided.

The app has to help track cooking, from pre-cooking, Cooking and post cooking activities. Activities in precooking comprises of raw materials planned for the day like vegetables, pulses and rice which will be photographed through the mobile app with the time stamp. Next cooking process is photographed with the time stamp and finally cooked food is photographed with the time stamp.
Same way while the time of serving of food the attendance is marked in the app via EMIS integration and a group photograph of the students availing the food is taken with the time stamp.

All this data is stored in the DB and the same will be monitored via MIS dashboard.
