The book is divided into three sections, and the author in the first section the nature of intelligence within the chapters came as follows:
Intelligence and biological adaptation, the psychology of thought and the psychological nature of logical processes.
In the second section, it is meant to show the intelligence function based primarily on the synthesis of processes according to specific structures, through the examination of thought. The chapters of this section came as follows: intelligence and sensory perception, habits and sensory intelligence.
In the third section, the author devoted himself to the development of thought within two seminal chapters: intellectual intuition and mental processes, social factors of intellectual growth.
