Tulumoni Borgohain is a renowned yoga and meditation teacher and life-skills consultant. In the last three years, thousands of people have immensely benefitted from her unique teaching, where she concentrates on preparing the mind to maximize the benefits of dhyan and asanas. She believes that the life changing powers of yoga and meditation can be harnessed only when they become a part of our day-to-day lives, and has developed techniques to motivate people to do so.
Born in 1979 in Assam, Ms. Borgohain was the Head Teacher of a Govt. School until she gave up the job to fully devote herself to yoga and meditation. She has been practicing yoga since her early teens and is passionate about meditation, especially Vipasana. A well-known short story writer and essayist in Assamese, Ms. Borgohain’s essays on Vipasana are widely appreciated. Her husband is a professor of Geology, and she is also the mother of a teenage son. She has a Masters in Assamese from Dibrugarh University and is a Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India certified Yoga Teacher and Evaluator.
Tulumoni Borgohain’s approach to Yoga and Meditation is practical and suited to people of all ages and types. She focuses on the psychological rather than the ritualistic and believes in combining modern knowledge with traditional enlightenment. She combines pranayama, yogasanas and dhyana to de-stress and de-toxify the body and the mind and to strengthen nerves and muscles to increase powers of self-healing; thereby achieving remarkable results. All through this, Tulumoni Borgohain also constantly emphasizes the values of compassion (daya) and forgiveness (Khyama) in achieving mental peace and physical wellbeing and explores practical and effective ways to practice them in real life.
