Statutory and contracted responders may include:

Civil Defence Network – Sponsored community safety for POOR areas to fight Gender-based Violence (GBV) and to prevent contact crimes

Community Policing – Neighbourhood Watch, Residential Welfare Associations and other responders in urban, rural and remote areas, including farming communities

Security Service Providers (SSP) – Users have access to contracted SSP responders on a ‘Security on the Go’ and on a ‘Security on Demand’ basis

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) – Users have very quick and direct access to the nearest EMS and related service providers for medical, fire or other emergencies

Beat Police or Police Patrols – Active only if Police opted to make use of Herdum Platform

ADD-ON SERVICES WITH IRA DEVICES

All users have access to the Bluetooth ‘PRESS’ panic button to activate an emergency SOS alarm. Users are eligible to subscribe to the add-on services:

IRA Smart Button – Enables hands-free, AI voice activated alarms.
IRA Intelligent Camera Controller – AI powered CCTV or another camera automatically triggers an in-App alarm if it records a perimeter intrusion event.
IRA Sentinels – Intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) enabled digital alarms:
- Safe public and private places with static IRA Sentinels
- Safe public transport with mobile digital alarms mounted in vehicles, taxi’s, buses, train coaches or other vehicles
NOTIFICATIONS
When activating an emergency SOS, you must be within an Angel or Responder’s operating zone. Depending on the type of angel and Herdum base pack service, this might be a fixed angel radius of 500 meters, a user configurable angel radius of 500 meters | 1 km | 2 km | 5 km | 10 km, or a demarcated operating zone at a local, regional and national level.
Depending on your requirements, notifications are sent to -
· SMS to Friends, Family and Emergency Contacts, containing the mobile number and GPS location, time and date when the emergency SOS was activated.
· in-App message to nearest responders, containing the mobile number, time and date when the emergency SOS was activated and GPS location of the user with access to an online map with the quickest access route to the user.
· Herdum Security Portal web access to service providers’ dispatchers, offering complete real-time visibility and in-time reporting on an incident.
· IRA Sentinels activate automatically, if within a pre-determined range of the emergency SOS.
