Aster Aweke is an Ethiopian singer. She is known for her 1999 album Hagere, and her 2008 album Fikir. She left to live in the United States in 1981, and she first came back to home-county Ethiopia in 1997. Aster was born in 1959 in Asela, Ethiopia. She was raised in the capital city of Addis Ababa.
