Today, the "Young Photographs of Monuments" competition is one of the world's largest events for young people in the field of cultural heritage. In 2007, the Association of Historic Settlements, Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia was approached by the main organizer - the Council of Europe, to organize the competition in our country and to take over its patronage. The association is very happy to take on this challenge and the result is 13 successful years.

Today, the "Young Photographs of Monuments" competition is one of the world's largest events for young people in the field of cultural heritage. The competition is designed for primary and secondary school pupils and students who send photographs to the Secretariat of the Association, which will express the main ideas of the European Heritage Days (www.ehd.cz). The whole event is to support the interest and knowledge of our cultural heritage, to support the knowledge of historic buildings and gardens, rural and urban landscapes of recognized monumental value or unusual beauty. The competition is not just a "photographic" event, but rather an experience associated with artistic and monumental heritage. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid topics that, despite their possible photographic interest, do not correspond to such an intention.
