Norse mythology is a collection of legends, myths and ideas about heroes, gods, origin, purpose and end of the world originating from the Germanic tribes inhabiting the Scandinavian peninsula and its surroundings. It goes e.g. o Norwegians, Swedes or Danes, united by a common Viking past.
