The lexicon of South Arabian Nouns and names (Sabaean/ Qatabanian/ Hadrami/ Ma'inian/ Other) writen in Musnad script was developed to serve researchers, learners, and those interested in authentic South Arabian heritage. The lexicon contains more than 20,000 nouns (20 kN), including repetitions according to dialect and context.
Each Noun is included in Musnad-Script, and, where it is possible, notes on its meanings in Sabaean or Qatabanian are included.
A search filter will help finding names instantly by entering even part of it in Ar, Musna or Lat- Chars.
Two classification filters:
a) get all nouns of a certain dialect,
b) get the nouns of a certain topic (e.g. Names of women, buildings, etc.).
A compact dictionary have been designed to provide meanings and comment to the nouns as possible (for the time being only in Arabic). This will be provided automatically in (1) above. The Compact dictionary could also be used as such on its own. It will contains over 4,500 words.
A 3rd Component contains the Forms to put nouns together (compound names). This will provide over 2,000 templates. Filtering the information will be provided.
