The Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ) is a three-day festival of love for Allah and His Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), turning away from worldly pleasures and turning earnestly but joyfully to the beauty of the spiritual world. It was first held in 1891 when the founder of the Islamic reform community of Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (as), invited it. At that time, 75 of his companions took part.

The AMJ's Jalsa Salana is to be understood as an event to praise God and His Holy Prophet. Through the Jalsa Salana, visitors should be able to experience what it means to turn to God, to take responsibility for one's fellow human beings and to prefer a spiritual life to the external things of the world.

The “Jalsa Salana Germany” app was developed to provide visitors to Jalsa Salana at AMJ Germany with useful and valuable information both beforehand and during the event.
