In the now formed unit Municipality City Allstedt with the districts Beyernaumburg, Einsdorf, Einzingen, Emseloh, Holdenstedt, Katharinenrieth, Liedersdorf, Mittelhausen Niederröblingen, Nienstedt, Othal, Pölsfeld, Sotterhausen and Wolferstedt live about 8,500 inhabitants, the historical importance of their city are well aware. Numerous discoveries show a continuous settlement since the Neolithic period (4000 - 2000 v.u.Z.).
