Have an e-prescription (electronic prescription) issued in a participating doctor's practice and redeem it in selected pharmacies. BARMER offers its policyholders this innovative service free of charge.

Thats how it works:
- If you do not yet have a BARMER user account, first download the BARMER app and set up your personal BARMER user account: www.barmer.de/g100369

- Log into the BARMER e-prescription app with your BARMER user account.

- A participating doctor's practice will issue you the e-prescription and save it in the app in the form of a QR code.

- Have the code to redeem the prescription scanned in at a participating pharmacy or send the prescription electronically. If the pharmacy has a delivery service, you can have the medicine delivered straight to your home. Or: You order from a mail order pharmacy.

- You can find out which medical practices and pharmacies are already participating at www.das-erezept-deutschland.de/arzt-apothekensuche/.

- Contact-free - Fully digitized processes enable contact-free delivery from the prescription to the drug.

- e-prescription app - With your smartphone, you have the e-prescription with you wherever you go. The app also offers an overview of pharmacies and doctors as well as an overview of e-prescriptions that have already been used.

- Saves time - Follow-up prescriptions can be sent without having to visit the practice again, and medication prescriptions from a video consultation are also possible.

- Free choice of pharmacy - You are free to decide whether you want to pick up the prescribed medication from participating pharmacies on site, have them delivered by their courier service or have them sent to you by mail.

- Data security - the e-prescription is transmitted via secure and encrypted data channels with certified servers in Germany. The e-prescription app has the highest level of login protection.
