DEEP! stands for: The development of your own potential! That's what it's all about: You and your potential and possibilities. The DEEP! App is a self-coaching tool for your professional orientation. It helps you to prepare for your path after high school during the upper school.

Self-coaching means that you systematically explore yourself with the help of questions, exercises and tests. What are your strengths, weaknesses, interests and personality? What matches your gifts and talents, your competence profile and your professional goals? The app is not a simple test that tells you what you should become, but helps you sort your thoughts and include everything relevant in the decision.

A profile (competences, interests, professional ideas, personality and values) is created from your entries. You can use this to check and rank your idea in the app. You can also export it and use it as a basis for discussions with careers advisors and study advisors. The referral advice tool in the app shows you where you can find suitable contacts for your concerns. The app includes all options for vocational training (dual training, school training), dual studies and studies. It shows you where and how to research these options. So you get both career orientation and study orientation.

In addition, it contains all the information about your path after graduation: from a gap year to admission requirements and applications to tips on starting your studies or training. Much information is also prepared as a video. You can also listen to most of the texts as audio books on the go. This is particularly helpful for the texts where you get tips on how to choose a course of study or a career. Which criteria could be important for this and how to take emotional and rational aspects into account when making decisions.

So that you don't forget anything, e.g. important application deadlines (for training, studies or scholarships), we have also integrated a small project management tool. In it you can also define your goals in the decision-making process SMART.

A particularly helpful function is the 360 ​​degree feedback. You can generate a link with the app and get feedback on your strengths from your friends and others. In this way you can compare self-perception and how others perceive you.

During development, special attention was paid to data protection and data security (it is above the EU data protection standards of the GDPR). The development team relied on best practices such as "privacy-by-default" and enabled data-saving use of the app right from the architecture stage.
