On-demand transport for the community of Spiesen-Elversberg.

With the KIMonoS app you can request and book travel requests within the municipality of Spiesen-Elversberg, and the system will provide you with appropriate travel suggestions. When you book a trip suggestion, the trip is entered into the on-demand system KIMonoS and an NVG minibus picks you up and takes you to your destination.

On-demand transport is a type of on-call bus service and is currently in test operation. There are stops throughout the community that are not far from where you live and where you want to go.

The minibus is ordered via the app. All you have to do is enter the start, destination, desired departure time and the number of passengers - and you will receive a trip suggestion with departure time, expected arrival time and a stop near you where you will be picked up. The stop where you will be dropped off is also very close to your destination.

For this purpose, more than 100 stops in the community of Spiesen-Elversberg were selected and marked for passengers.

Once you have selected and booked the trip, it is reserved for you.

If several people book trips in the same direction, the trips will be combined. This means fewer vehicles are needed. The advantage: it

saves resources, energy and costs.

The trips are carried out with an NVG minibus that has space for a wheelchair and a stroller.

Since we are still in test operation, the trip is free of charge.

When boarding, all you have to do is show the booking number in the app and you're good to go.

Driving with on-demand transport also means fewer cars, exhaust fumes and noise in our community and there is no need to search for a parking space. So a step towards a liveable and lovable community.
