The app of the U-461 Juliett - the largest museum submarine in the world, is the digital companion of your museum visit. Here you can experience a piece of naval history up close and have the unique opportunity to exchange ideas in a world that is otherwise hidden from people. Anyone who dares to walk between thousands of taps and a few thousand kilometers of cable harnesses can experience what life must really be like for a crew member in a submarine. Here you can not only see on the TV screen how the crew and the cast in the classic films "The Boat" or "The Hunt for Red October" might have fared, but you can also experience exactly this feeling for yourself.

How does the app work
The app is based on iBeacon technology. An iBeacon is a small Bluetooth radio transmitter that automatically connects to the smartphone. There are about 10 IBeacons in the exhibition. If you come close to an IBeacon, it will automatically trigger new content in the app. Each iBeacon reflects up to 3 pieces of content.

Use of the app via the smartphone's device speaker is restricted (reduced volume), so headphones are recommended for use.
