The VAG Radar app makes traveling with Freiburger Verkehrs AG even easier and more convenient for everyone. Blind and visually impaired passengers in particular, but also people with restricted mobility, benefit from the VAG Radar. The slim app focuses on central functions that support boarding and alighting on the go:

- Vehicle radar: At the stop, the app announces approaching buses and light rail vehicles.
- Stop announcement: While driving, the stop announcement can be played via the app by activating Voice Over.
- Stop request: Passengers can trigger the stop request in the app and override the automatic door closing function in order to have more time when boarding and alighting.
- Find door signal: The app can be used to trigger the find door signal on the vehicle so that an acoustic guidance system guides the passenger to the open door.

Of course, the app can be used barrier-free and supports many operating aids such as zoom, text size and color reversal as well as the read-aloud function of the end device.

To use the app, Bluetooth must be switched on on the smartphone. The app receives information directly from the vehicle at a distance of up to 50 meters. This also enables the remote control of the stop request and the door find signal.
