This is an app for detecting and preventing the nightly supine position. Via vibration and/or acoustic stimuli of the worn smartphone a change of position of the sleeping person is achieved. However, a medical examination of snoring or breathing stops in the supine position must still be carried out.

Functionality:
The app detects the body position using the rotation vector sensor and, when sleeping in a supine position, reacts with increasing vibration intensity, which causes the sleeper to change his sleeping position.

Benefits of use:
The supine position during sleep is particularly problematic for snoring and apnea patients. From a scientific point of view, sleeping in a supine position increases the narrowing of the upper respiratory tract due to the slackened muscles. This usually leads to a pronounced snoring and apnea behaviour. Avoiding the supine position can therefore be helpful for those affected. This app can help to analyse the personal sleeping positions and correct them if necessary. With the help of the vibration function, a jerky wake-up is avoided and instead a gentle change in sleeping position is stimulated. Regular use of the app can be useful for targeted sleeping position training.

Recommended use:
Use this app with a suitable chest strap. Activate airplane mode to save energy and minimize possible emissions. The battery should be charged over 90% before use.
