In Germany, the best grade is a '1' and the worst a '6'!
The corresponding points should therefore be uniformly distributed approximately linearly (full score = 1, no points = 6, half of the points consequently '3-4').
Why 3-4? Simply because that's the middle between 1 and 6; '(1 + 6) / 2 = 3.5' (mean).
All other points should be distributed accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: This distribution is not normally applied to vocabulary tests, but to 'normal' classwork. Also, your grade may differ slightly from the calculated score, depending on which point key your teacher uses. However, the deviation should not be too big.
