This mobile App is a medical calculator indicating the likelihood that an inpatient diagnosed with hypertension will die in one year.

To calculate this likelihood we need to know the following patient parameters at the time of the hospitalization: gender, Charlson Comorbidity Index, problems with usual activities or self-care.

To give this likelihood the App will calculate a total score based on the risk of the above parameters. A patient will have a greater risk of death if that patient is male, have a higher score in the Charlson Comorbidity Index and have any problems with usual activities or self-care. According to the score obtained the patient will have a probability associated with death.

If a patient has high probability of death, special emphasis should be placed on the follow-up.
