- Answer relevant questions: SymptomChecker asks follow-up questions to provide a more precise assessment.
- Get an indication: See which diseases your symptoms may be related to.
Advantages of SymptomTjekker:
- Anonymous and free
- No commercial interests
- Free formulation - easily describe symptoms in your own words
- Precise, because advanced technology analyzes symptoms and provides answers
- Certified and well-tested medical technology
- Better understanding of symptoms than search engines or websites
Advanced technology and security:
SymptomTjekker is based on updated knowledge from Danish health authorities and recognized health professional sources. It uses information from, among other things, the Danish Medical Handbook, the Danish Patient Handbook, drug information and data from package leaflets via the Danish Medicines Agency's relevant data sources as well as the ICD-11 classification of symptoms. This means that the assessments are based on nationally anchored and validated knowledge.
To ensure quality and relevance, all symptoms and suggestions are continuously cross-checked against authoritative databases and health professional standards. The system has also been developed with a focus on data security and on delivering safe and reliable answers - without commercial influence. SymptomChecker is certified and approved as a medical device in classification-1 (European statutory CE approval). The service is also GDPR-compliant and processes all data anonymously and confidentially.
Important to know:
SymptomChecker does not make a diagnosis and is not a substitute for a doctor. You should always contact a doctor if you, your children or relatives become ill or have pain.
