Our Story: The Birth of Dunoya

Since childhood, my dream was to create something that would bring genuine change. Reality kicked in hard—until I heard a magic word just 100 days before college ended: Entrepreneurship. That single word shifted everything, aligning my dreams, ideas, and unanswered questions.

After graduation, I started working at my dad’s biryani shop. Over time, I noticed that small business owners, including my father, heavily relied on walk-in customers—waiting anxiously for foot traffic to sustain their livelihood.

This led to another question, now from a consumer’s perspective: the frustration of searching for products offline, only to be disappointed or inconvenienced repeatedly.

The primary challenge for offline businesses was clear: Visibility. Consumers faced another major hurdle: Convenience.

I decided to address these twin problems—Visibility and Convenience—and laid the foundation for Dunoya.

The path was tough. From December 2019 to December 2023, I faced 9 failed attempts. But persistence paid off. Early in 2024, on the 10th iteration, Dunoya finally emerged. Yet, even then, it wasn’t the final version; it required another 4 months of refinement. After 11 iterations, a quiet but profound miracle unfolded, marking the true birth of Dunoya.

This journey matters because I lived the struggles faced by millions of small business owners across India, just like my dad—hardworking, self-employed individuals who pour their heart into their businesses.
