The routes of Vila Flor - Tua Natureza integrate the village of Vilarinho das Azenhas, contributing to the attribution of phenomenological and anthropological value to the routes, as well as to the promotion of the local heritage and reinforcement of the territorial identity.

Located on the left bank of the river Tua, the village of Vilarinho das Azenhas acquired its name because there are several watermills. In the past, the parish had a strong tendency for artisanal work and held several oil mills and some watermills located on the Tua River. Vilarinho das Azenhas is a remote village, with a varied architectural heritage, namely an acropolis in the center of the village, the old castle and the remains of a wall. It also presents a demarcated religious estate, highlighting the presence of the Church of Santa Justa and the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios.
