The translation service application allows people with hearing loss (mainly deaf people) to receive the help of a sign language interpreter when communicating. This is a new application of the remote translation service.
Thanks to the application of the translation service, people with hearing loss have a better chance of managing their daily life and consuming public services.
Through the translation service app you can:
- See how many you are currently in the waiting list
- Provide files/images to the translator
- Book your call in advance for a certain time period
- Receive calls from a third party (be it a friend, doctor, government agency or anyone who has your phone number)
The translation service application is in Estonian and is managed by the Social Insurance Board and is financed from the activity "Improving the availability and quality of long-term care" of measure 21.4.9.1 "Ensuring high-quality social services and care options that support independent living" of the European Union Cohesion and Internal Security Policy Fund for the period 2021-2027.
