How is the unemployment benefit calculated by ERTE?
In Spain, workers affected by an ERTE receive unemployment benefits: specifically, 70% of the regulatory base for their contribution to Social Security during the previous 180 days.

Overtime contributions are not taken into account in this calculation. From day 181 of suspension of the contract, the worker begins to receive 50% of the regulatory base. In other words, your income will be depleted.

What is the maximum limit that can be charged for unemployment?
Unemployment benefit has a limit. The maximum that a person without children can charge is 1,098.09 euros, if they have a child 1,254, 96 and if they have two children 1,411.83 euros. The Ministry of Labor estimates that the average benefit that employees will receive for an ERTE will be 860 euros per person.
