It is an application developed by the City Council of Carmona and aims to be one more channel of information and communication between the citizen and the Administration.

The initial idea of ​​this application is to offer a guide in which you can find (through geolocation on a map) the maximum information on Carmona from a general view, as well as a detailed one, which will be useful in everyday life to everyone ( tourist or visitor) who comes to this historic and monumental city.

This guide is very useful for moving around its streets and, quickly and agilely, checking the nearest bus, taxi and parking stops, locating and calling the emergency and emergency telephone numbers, health centers, hotels, rural accommodation, restaurants, bars, hostels, travel agencies, public services, tourist services, as well as knowing their festivals and customs, leisure, culture, crafts, monuments and other places of interest.

This application not only indicates the location, but even, using GPS technology, will guide you to the requested place and even offers the possibility of making calls or sending emails to contact, as well as visit your websites or social networks. In order to better identify the location, the application offers an image of the facade where the place of the search is located while offering a brief informative description.

The application has a "Near me" service that, using GPS technology, will indicate to the citizen all the elements of interest close to his position.

The City of Carmona is located in the Province of Seville, in the “Los Alcores” region. It is unquestionably the commercial, cultural and service center of a large territory that covers the entire eastern arch of the province of Seville.

Carmona is located 30 km from Seville. In the last level of importance of Los Alcores at 235 m above sea level, dominating the extensive Vega del Corbones.
Also with its regular bus lines it communicates daily with the municipalities of the province and with the great Andalusian and Spanish capitals.


The fertility of the area and its privileged geographical location on top of a hill that is easily defended meant that Carmona had been inhabited since "prehistoric times". Although remains from the Paleolithic have appeared, those from the Neolithic and Eneolithic are much more abundant, among which the magnificent "bell-shaped vessels" of the Acebuchal stand out.

From a Turdetan nucleus, a Carthaginian colony of great importance developed, conserving some remains of walls from this stage in the Puerta de Sevilla.

In the year 206 a. C., Carmona is conquered by the Roman Empire; it was intensely romanized and became one of the most important urban centers in Baetica, with the name of "Carmo".

The layout of the city, which was carried out on the Carthaginian population, can still be seen in the current Carmona, especially the Cardo Máximo, which went from the "Puerta de Sevilla" to the "Córdoba"

From this time the architectural and sculptural remains are of a great category, highlighting the impressive Necropolis.

It also preserves remains from the Visigoth period. Its importance did not decrease in Muslim times, and it became the capital of one of the Taifa kingdoms in the 11th century. The Arabs reformed its defensive system, and embellished it with notable fortresses, mosques and other notable buildings, of which there are still vestiges today.
