For the year 2016, the databases of the main public administrations and places of citizen interest, belonging to the town of Huelma (Jaén), had changed some data. In an attempt to offer the citizen a compendium of places of interest with updated data, this guide has been prepared.
The municipality of Huelma is located to the south of the Sierra Mágina massif, in the province of Jaén, right next to the provincial border between the latter and Granada.
The town is located in a mountainous area at the foot of the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, at 1000 meters above sea level, and surrounded by olive groves and Mediterranean forests belonging to the natural park.
It has a population of slightly more than 6,000 inhabitants, although its number has been gradually declining for several decades, which makes it one of the most populated towns in this area of ​​Jaén, surpassed by Jódar and Mancha Real if we talk about the area. regional and Iznalloz if we refer to the Granada area.
It can be accessed from the A-44 motorway, taking exit 58 Cambil-Huelma and continuing on the A-324, or taking the A-401 until reaching the aforementioned A-324 and heading towards Huelma.
Within the town we find the various public or private administrations, and places of general interest, which allow the pertinent procedures to be carried out by the citizens. We highlight the Town Hall, the Casa de la Juventud (youth area of ​​the town hall), the offices of the Local Police and the Civil Guard, educational and sports centers, municipal services, health centers and pharmacies, public transport companies with their stops and schedules, offices of regional administrations, notary, bank branches,…
