The Teba Guide app is a free tool part of the Unified Digital Street Map of Andalusia (CDAU) project and developed by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA). This app offers detailed information about Teba, a picturesque town located in the Guadalteba region, in the province of Málaga. Its highlights include:

History and Heritage: Teba has a history dating back to prehistoric times, with remains found in the Cueva de la Paloma and Attegua, an ancient Roman fortress mentioned by Julius Caesar. Its imposing Castillo de la Estrella, of Almohad origin (13th century), occupies approximately 25,000 m² and is the largest in Málaga, housing the "A Crusade in the Guadalteba" Interpretation Center.

Activities and Routes: Teba offers routes such as the Castillo Trail, the Sierra de Teba Trail (~10 km), and the Guadalteba River Trail, perfect for hiking, cycling, and birdwatching. The Guadalteba reservoir is ideal for kayaking and fishing. Also noteworthy is the Municipal Historical Museum, which displays artifacts from the Neolithic to the Modern Age.

Festivals and Traditions: Teba celebrates the notable Scottish Douglas Days, a Festival of Tourist Uniqueness that recreates the 1330 battle where Sir James Douglas died, with a medieval market, Celtic music, and reenactments. It also holds the Artisan Cheese Fair in October, with competitions and a market featuring cheese makers from all over Spain. Other celebrations include the Pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Cabeza in May, the Teba Fair in August, the patron saint festival of Santo Toribio (August 10–12), and the procession of the Virgen del Rosario on October 7. Recently, Teba and Melrose (Scotland) have sealed their twinning, strengthening this historic connection.

Local Gastronomy: Typical dishes include porra tebeña (a type of pork sausage), wild asparagus, goat cheese, blood sausage, chorizo, and traditional sweets such as almond cakes, pestiños, and muffins. Tepa boasts a prominent olive oil industry and typical local pastries.

The app also includes an interactive street map to locate points of interest, bars, and restaurants, making it easier to plan your visit. Immerse yourself in the essence of Teba and enjoy a unique experience with this comprehensive tourist guide.
