Ed Malone, a reporter for the Daily Gazette, goes to his boss to get a dangerous and adventurous mission (so he could impress his beloved enough, Gladys, to ask for her hand). McArdle, the publisher, and sends Malone access to interview Professor Challenger, a difficult task because the professor has attacked several other journalists sent to talk to him about his alleged discovery of dinosaurs in South America. This finding has been so far ridiculed by the scientific mainstream, but Challenger convinces to Malone of its veracity and invites you to an expedition to the Venezuelan Amazon to collect more evidence.
