DPesca is a mobile application that is part of the activities that are being carried out in the FEMP_AND_03-08 Project on recreational fishing in the Andalusian coast (2017-2020).
The Spanish Institute of Oceanography, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía and with the help of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, is conducting a study on the characterization of recreational fishing in Andalusia, in the four fishing modalities: underwater, from kayaking, from the coast and from the boat.
The objective of DPesca is to provide fishermen with the declaration of their activity and thereby make users a fundamental piece for the correct knowledge of their activity, their monitoring and management.
DPesca also offers fishermen access to current regulations in Andalusia for each of their fishing modalities. It includes a catalog of fishing species in order to provide information on the minimum catch sizes, quotas (if any) and main characteristics that distinguish one species from another.
