PeritonealApp is an application aimed at patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment, to facilitate the management of their disease. Patients who perform their dialysis at home can record all their drain and infusion processes, so that their doctors can monitor their progress more frequently.
To start using the application, your doctor must register you and you will receive an SMS with your password. Once registered, you will be able to enjoy the different functionalities aimed at facilitating your treatment and your communication with the doctor.
What are these functionalities?
** Access to information related to your therapy **
You will be able to access whenever you need to a personal summary of your treatment, which indicates the guidelines that you must follow each day. You will also have a section of frequently asked questions, such as how to correctly carry out the infusions of your treatment.
** Save all data related to your health **
Depending on the type of therapy you follow, you will be asked for specific information about the infusions and drains that you have to perform. In addition, you can save the daily evolution of your weight and blood pressure to keep track as complete as possible.
** Contact your doctor **
You can talk to your doctor without having to make an appointment, being able to send and receive messages at any time.
** Notifications **
You can activate notifications so that the application notifies you when you receive a message from your doctor or when it is your turn to save data.
** Access to all your data **
To make it easier for you to access your data, you will have a series of tables and graphs that show all the information stored. It will also show measures that make it easier for you to control your state of health, such as the total ultrafiltration of the day, and statistics that help you to know your evolution.
** Safe and reliable **
This application does not collect information automatically at any time, only the data that you decide to actively save is saved. Both storage and data management comply with current data protection regulations and, furthermore, the only people who will have access to your data will be you and your doctor.
