Hints
1. In order to accept card payments, in addition to the PhonePOS app, you also need the free App2Pay to enter an amount, which is then automatically forwarded to the PhonePOS app and processed. Alternatively, a cash register application can be used that has an appropriate API integrated and can thus establish a connection with the Phone-POS app.
2. For security reasons, the PhonePOS app must be updated every 28 days. You will be informed of the update several times via notification a few days before the 28 days expire. If the update is not carried out, card payments can no longer be processed after 28 days. If the update is carried out, the PhonePOS app and card acceptance are available as usual. For consistent availability, it is recommended to allow automatic app updates in the settings.
3. The PhonePOS app requires permission to start automatically when the smartphone is switched on. On most smartphone models, the “automatic start” permission is already specified as standard for the PhonePOS app. If the automatic start is not activated, there may be problems with card acceptance.
4. The PhonePOS app is always active because, for security reasons, the app regularly checks at short intervals whether anything has been changed on the app or the smartphone that could pose a risk. This may result in a slight increase in power consumption.
5. The app is not available for rooted devices for security reasons.
