The establishment of the Hungarian Élét Menete Foundation was initiated by a community of civil youth in October 2003, following the example of similar organizations operating in 55 countries around the world, with the aim that at its events, young people and the elderly, public figures, actors, artists, sportsmen, and politicians, regardless of religious or political affiliation , in a solemn setting, to pay their respects together in front of the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and put their faith in social solidarity and democratic political culture. In April 2004, we officially participated in the commemorations for the first time with 837 of our colleagues.
